Does anybody replaced the a GPS head unit in a 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan with non GPS factory unit. If the answer si yes, did anybody found a conection Steering Wheel Radio Control Interface. I'm very confused with what to buy or not! some places says that will work others says will not, so I just don't know how to proceed! If anybody can help me will be great!.
One more thing! does anybody know if bestbuy or circuit city will price match price from a website? other than crutchfield? Thanks for your help guys! |

I'm so confused about this amp bypass...I know crutchfield has been selling the thing for about a year or two but...whats the point? The factory amp on my setup actually makes the sound a lot crisper. I have not had any problems just set the EQ to negative settings and adjust from there. Does this amp bypass cut out interference noise or keep you from blowing the amp? I'd like to know cause i've had no problems and had this setup for over a year but am curious if I might could experience some problems in the future.

The MTX TC6001 amp has the "smart engage" feature in which you can just tap the rear speakers for signal and hook up to your amp directly , no need for a LOC. I didnt even need turn on wire . The amp turns on automaticaly when it senses signal from the speakers. My instal which includes Factory head unit and 6 speakers (including 2 tweeters) , 1 farad Rockford digital capacitor, MTX TC6001 monoblock amp, 2 12" 8000 series MTX subs and iconnect 4 guage wiring has clear highs, good mids and super pounding bass. Its so much more than I expected it to be with not upgrading my HU and speakers yet.

I NEED HELP!! I've taken apart my dash following the steps in this thread
but the problems that I cant get the two bolts/screws out that are above the pocket next to the aux input and cig lighter.. In the guide it says to use a 9mm socket, but for the life of me, that doesnt fit! is it that I have a bad socket?? Should i try a friends set?? What size are they? Can anyone say 100% what size is needed? How did you get them out? Do you use a socket or can you do it by hand? Thanks!! |
