Throwing a CEL?

Im a newb with these so bare with me.
ive gathered from the other topics that AEM SRI have been causing issues with the CEL, so what i am curious is that Injen promises that there SRI is tuned for the Air/Fuel Ratio, is that why Injen SRI have not been causing issues with the CEL? Honestly, im not looking for any problems at all, i just want to buy a SRI and not worry about the CEL but also have the resonator still on. I would like to buy an Injen SRI but K&N's is appealing to me because i could leave the stock resonator on but does K&N have any issues with throwing a CEL.
