07 TWM cable and base bushings!

I just wanted to post up and tell everyone about the 2007 shifter cable and base bushings that I just installed. I put them on today and I was a little weary because I have heard some people on here saying that they could not tell the difference. Well, I put them on and that is the way that it should have came from the factory. The shift is so firm, yet not knotchy at all. Best 50 bucks I have spent in a while. Just thought that I would share.

This is such a cheap mod, and you can really feel the difference in driving enjoyment each time you take the car out

Hi Blk4drSI,

I'm glad to hear you're happy with the 2007 shifter cable and base bushings! We're pleased to be the first to offer these bushings for the 2007 Civic, I'm sure everyone who installs them will be very satisfied as our 2006 cable bushings were a huge hit as well.

We still have plenty of cable bushings in stock for both 2006 and the 2007's, be sure to check them out here guys: 2006 and 2007 Civic shifter cable bushings

They are also available as a combo with our short shifter here: 2006-2007 Civic Short Shifters

Thanks

Kevin

Well I just installed mine yesterday. I just installed the cable bushings, and I notice it doesnt make a huge difference, but the shifter is noticeably stiffer as well as the throws.

i just installed the base and short throw last night. cable will do when my cai arrives next week. i am now addicted to the click of the shift everytime. there is absolutly no way the stock configuration is even close. this is something everyone who can afford it should do. makes the car even more fun than it already is. takes 20 mins with taking the console off which i did and i even didnt break anything. i amazed myself. hope everyone else has the same experience

The TWM Short Shifter and the Comptech both reduce shift throw by the same amount, 22%. This is the largest throw reduction possible given the design of the stock shift assembly.

The advantage of purchasing our short shifter is that you can actually buy it as a combo with the shifter base bushings and cable bushings included and save on the bushings, as well as saving on shipping by getting everything at the same place.

I hope this helps, let me know if I can assist you further. Feel free to call us toll free at 1-877-655-0540.

Thanks,

Kevin

I have the comptech short shifter, TWM cable bushing, TWM base bushing, and Circuit Hero shift knob. After the installation, the feeling of every shift was 10x more precise and crisp. It just makes driving THAT MUCH more fun!

So how do the comptech and the twm shifters differ? Or is the twm made after the comptech, just as strong and so on?

The short shifters are very similar in design and function, they both accomplish the same goal of lengthening the shifter length below the pivot point to the maximum the shift assembly will allow.

I can say that we have not had one of our Civic short shifters break or fail in any way, as we run finite element analysis on all of our products to ensure that they will last the life of your car. If for some reason you were to have a problem with our Civic short shifter in the future, all of our products are covered by a lifetime warranty.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Kevin
