Disappointing Dyno

Sorry, not mine. Doubt I'll dyno just for an CAI.

But anyway, I'm sure someone's beat me already, but a dyno sheet is posted at http://www.f5air.com/images/dyno/ca1920.gif.

A little disappointed. However, one thing in its favor is that, to my knowledge, no one had gotten a CEL with it. True or bologna?

I'm assuming that is a non-si...or an si with something seriously wrong with it...

That is not an Si dyno. I don't know if you have ever seen an Si dyno, but the torque curve alone tells me that isnt one. I know mine looked nothing like that.

That's what I assumed...like I said non-si or an Si with some major issues...

My car stock dyno'ed at 197.7 whp on a mustang dyno. Do I think the dyno was off, yes I do. Do I think I would make that little whp, so I don't.

That's an old link, its been posted here a few times. It is in fact a dyno done on a R18 with CAI.

i love hondas, but sorry, u drive a honda, its never gonna be a hp/tq monster in stock form. even with mods, its not gonna be a hp/tq monster unless u dump loads of money into it.

Sorry...they currently campaign a 12-second all-motor RSX. No R18 in there.

I dont know what anyone would complain about with that. Obviously if you didnt buy the Si, you knew that you werent going to even come close to having similar dyno numbers. Look at the torque curve, steady gains throughout the pull, and 120whp to boot. I would be happy with that in a non-Si car.

You can tell its not an Si as there is no true vtec crossover.

It's the R18. Sorry I didn't specify up front. Thought the #'s would give that away.

My disappointment obviously is in the gains. The CIA available for my civic makes 6hp & 4tq, but the SRI available for my wife's 05 Odyssey makes 9 & 8 respectively.

Strange to me to see a SRI outperform a CIA on VTEC motors.

No big deal though. I'm snaggin one of these intakes shortly. I don't want the damn CEL though.

No one knows if the fujita has been CEL free?

how the hell does the r18 lose 30h/p before it gets to the wheels? That's insanely low.

Doesn't the SI put like around 180 to the wheels?

Yes, it does. But when I dyno'd my car, it was at 179.8hp and 138.2tq with a CAI. Alot of other people are claiming to be more than that stock. I want to get it done again since i have the EVO II on it now. But I'll probably wait until COmptech releases their headers.
